The Incredible Hulk is a large green (sometimes grey or red) humanoid creature, created from the body of scientist Bruce Banner, or occasionally other people depending on the timeline of the multiverse and/or the editorial requirements of Marvel Comics. Supposedly based on Frankenstein and The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mister Hyde, many Hulk stories resemble werewolf plots, as Bruce Banner tries to keep the fearsome beast within himself contained, until someone is unwise enough to unleash it.

Numerous comics, games, books, films, cartoons, lunchboxes, trading cards, t-shirts and even amusement park rides have been based on one or more versions of The Incredible Hulk.
